The first year my children attended everything was PERFECT! Wonderful teachers! Mrs. Collins is amazing, the greatest teacher I have ever had for my boy. She actually helped fix his rebellious tendencies and helped make his academic scores go up, I could never thank her enough for the help with my son. I would nominate her for an award. If anyone has Mrs. Collins as a teacher consider yourself incredibly blessed! Mrs. Wayland was strict but fair. Very involved and dedicated, I was kept informed of everything and my child enjoyed being in her class. So after a wonderful year of complete satisfaction in the school and their programs we start the next year with a new set of teachers. Mrs. French is amazing, my son has told me numerous times how much he loves Mrs. French and enjoys being in her class. She keeps me up to date on everything, sends weekly newsletters to my email. Responds quickly to all questions and is just down right sweet and fun. She is 100% recommended. Considering how wonderful the ratings are for this school I hate to write this because in the end I do highly recommend this school but my son's teacher Mrs. Royal is by far the worst teacher I have ever come across. Not only is she impossible to communicate with she also never does conferences. I have no idea what is going on in his classroom, he gets good grades but if you want details forget it... She is also just plain rude. She is mean to the kids, overly strict, if a child forgets their homework they are severely punished. Makes children cry, and ignore concerns, and doesn’t admit guilt in obviously guilty situations. To say I'm disappointed in her is an understatement. I have also heard multiple complaints from other parents as well having the same issues. I tried to have my child switched but Dr. Duclos asked me to give her another chance, I did. I wish I didn't. My son has started hating going to school. If you have Mrs. Royal, switch teachers before she destroys your child's opinion of school, she has made permanent damage with my son.

Teachers in 19 States Allowed to Physically Punish Students
As of 2014, nineteen states still allow corporal punishment – spanking and paddling the most common choices – in their public schools. However, some argue that not only are these punishments physically harmful, they also are disproportionately administered to students of color. As a result, House democrats have taken up the issue in a new bill that would ban all forms of corporal punishment nationwide.
