School Reviews

5   1/11/2007
The academic programs at Ephrata are available in all shapes and sizes. There are students of all abilities and interests. Their German Language program is excellant. The music department is Eprhata's pride. They have roughly 100 students in concert band and about 60 in concert orchestra, and a gigantic choir. There are 2, possibly 3 art teachers at the school and they teach a wide variety of art classes to all students. Ephrata is not known for it's sports, but there are many athletic teams including the State Champion Ice Hockey team and the the back-to-back State Champion Girls Bowling team. There is a wide range of after school extracurricular actives for students with all interests. They have many scholarships available. They give out the highest amount of scholarship money in Lancaster County. The school is currently getting air-conditioning installed which should be ready by fall 2007. The school and recreation fields are usually in fairly good condition. There is a high level of parent involvement at Ephrata with a PTA and in other ways.
