Excellent Elementary School. Excellent Administration and Staff.

The school is awesome great teachers, however the new secretary or the new lady that is at the desk when you walk in with the glasses can be a little rude and snappy and she brushes her behavior off by stating,oh I am new here, other than that the school and reminding staff is great, even the crossing guard ladies, very friendly and looks out totally for the children and parents

Excellent school by any measure. What happens in the classroom is mostly exposure and DE has a broad curriculum. The real learning happens when the student brings the information home and the parent (or grandparent in our case) takes over. Teacher + parent+ resources = Happy, successful student. Take away any one of these and you have mediocrity. DeBary Elementary provides really good teachers and a good part of the resources. The rest is really up to us!
