So I actually go to this school and I gotta say, the middle school section and the playground could use some work. The middle school section is really small, I wish it was more funded and that the classrooms were a little better. I've been going to this school since kindergarten and all the other classrooms have just been-better. I don''t really know how to explain it. I also wish there were more things to do on the playground. They used to have a swing, but they removed it because it broke. They also had a much bigger play set, but they replaced it for a smaller one, for some reason. I also hate the uniforms. I'd do anything to just wear normal clothes. If your child likes to wear cool clothes and wants to not wear the same thing every day, I'd suggest going to a different school. Overall, I rate casa 3/5.

Seems to be a great school! Very concerned about the student-teacher ratio!! K-1 is 32:1 with a TA. How much is our child able to learn with that many kids in a class. Love the school and we love the teachers. Our concerns are about a board that thinks this is ok.

We are finishing up our first year at Casa and echo what has been said before. Teachers are highly trained, certified, and caring. Class sizes way too big. My child's K class has nearly 30 students! They have a full time paraprofessional (TA) for much longer than other schools, but the classes still need to be smaller. Homework is a bit like busy work, but keeps my kid accountable. Parent involvement and community feel is great. A little too much drama amongst parents (some have issues with admin), but again that comes with lots of parent involvement. Lots of diversity. Love the daily schedule of being out at 3 and the modified calendar. We are happy there and plan to stay.

The teachers are wonderful at Casa. The class sizes are too large averaging about 26 per class. Casa is a great school if your child is motivated and an independent learner. Its falling away from Montessori philosophy, kids bring home so much busy work, while Montessori works remain on the shelves. It is a caring community, with lots of parental involvement. This is our fourth year at Casa, and we love it , but would like to see more emphasis on Montessori, and less on common core and class M testing.

Casa is a great school. My child has found a safe and challenging school environment. I don't know what we would have done without Casa and all it has meant to my kid.

Teachers in 19 States Allowed to Physically Punish Students
As of 2014, nineteen states still allow corporal punishment – spanking and paddling the most common choices – in their public schools. However, some argue that not only are these punishments physically harmful, they also are disproportionately administered to students of color. As a result, House democrats have taken up the issue in a new bill that would ban all forms of corporal punishment nationwide.
