A canyon is an amazing place. My oldest son spent just over two years here in SDC and GenEd and everyone on campus, even the custodian, is understanding and welcoming of kids with special needs. There aren't a lot of places in the public school system where the custodian will turn off his leaf blower the second he sees a kid who has a sensory issue. This is that place. My son blossomed here under the love and care of teachers like Ms. Dora, Ms. Christina, and Ms. Angel. All of the aids also showed him consideration, kindness, and care. Even in the office, everyone knew my son and said his name with a smile. Tom is a great Principal who somehow knows the name of almost all the kids, and cares about all of them. Right now, they're struggling a little because the district is slashing aids in all classrooms. These teachers are great caring people who work far too hard for far too little pay, and we all have a duty to take our School Board to the task and make sure that this is rectified. These little guys need care. Teachers can't do it alone. Three-year-olds can't wait to go potty. We are now dealing with the rest of the MUSD outside of this bubble and two weeks in I've lost seven pounds and slept about three hours a night. Never take CELC for granted. Never assume that because everyone here deals in good faith and loves your kiddo, people down the road will feel that way in our district
